The changes for the 2018 Honda Fit focus on youthful fun and safer trips. Vibrant colors added to the exterior mix include Helios Yellow Pearl, which substitutes for Mystic Yellow, and Orange Fury. Updating the fascia is a two-piece piano-black and chrome grille that is layered horizontally and flanked by sleek headlights that merge into the upper area. The rear shows redesigned tail lights and bumper. Now standard on the EX and EX-L trims but also available for the LX trim is the Honda Sensing® group of protective technology.

The 2018 Honda Fit offers the following trims:

• LX: Enjoy music from the 160-watt audio system and its four speakers. The Speed-Sensitive Volume Control automatically adjusts the sound depending on how fast you are traveling.
• Sport: Entertainment is boosted by the 180-watt audio system with six speakers. A 7-inch electrostatic touch screen featuring customization features allows for convenient control.
• EX: When you want to feel the sun on a fair day, open the one-touch power moonroof, which can also be tilted. When it rains, variable intermittent windshield wipers clear the view.
• EX-L: Coddling you with leather trim, the front seats are also heated. To increase their visibility, the turn signal indicators are integrated into the outside power mirrors.

The 1.5L 16-valve 4-cylinder of the 2018 Honda Fit relies on Dual Overhead Cams and intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control to deliver 130 horsepower and 114 lb.-ft. of torque. With the standard 6-speed manual transmission, the EPA-estimated fuel efficiency reaches 36 MPG on the highway and 29 MPG in the city. Shifting becomes seamless with the available Continuously Variable Transmission that ups efficiency to 40 MPG on the highway and 33 MPG in the city. Its ECON Button boosts efficiency even more. So your car doesn't roll down the slope when you run the engine on an incline, Hill Start Assist holds the brakes for a few seconds. This gives you time to switch your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator. Adding a layer of security is the Direct Ignition System with Immobilizer that turns off the engine if the authorized key is not used for starting.

You'll back out of your garage more easily with help from the Multi-Angle Rearview Camera. It shows your normal, top-down or wide-angle views of the area behind you and adds grid lines so you can judge how far you are from obstacles and where you're reversing into. Another camera plus is Honda LaneWatch™ that comes on when you signal. It shows a street view on the passenger side so you can change lanes safely.
